  • Call Language Line at 800-774-4344
  • Enter the access code: 506222 for the District
  • Choose a language
  • Once they connect you with the interpreter you can give them a statement summarizing what you'd like to communicate
  • If this is an in person meeting put them on speaker so they can translate for parent
  • If this is for a meeting by phone you need to conference call the parent (sometimes the translator will connect the phone call for you but in the case they don't, follow these directions.
  • While the translator is on the phone push the 3 buttons on your phone, this puts the translator on hold and you will hear a dial tone





  • Dial the phone number 
  • Once they answer press the 3 phone button again, this will connect the parent to the translator.



  • If you hang up, it will hang up for all.


  • If you need to connect two people outside of yourself, you need to use the transfer button, which is the "phone-arrow-phone" button (see photo). 
  • While on a call with caller #1, press the transfer button (caller #1 is placed on hold) dial caller #2 and when they pick up, you can either press the "COMPLETE" button on the phone or hang up, and the caller #1 and caller #2 will be on together, without you.
