Winkelman - Conferences for Winkelman: Are for homeroom teachers, arts, pe and specials.

Additionally 5th grade Homeroom teacher's Math and Reading Writing Should be open for conferences. 

Here is the information you need from Shaton and Nino.

Conferences dates for in person and virtual including times as well as dinner times

PK-4 Grade teams time slots

5th grade and rosen time slots

Specials Broadley, Hickey, Symons, Perryman, Greene, Ciss, Scott, Leblanc and  Milulay time slots

SST and EL teacher time slots

Here is a sample of everything you need

Conference Dates:

Tuesday, October 15 (In-person): 3:10 PM to 7:00 PM (Dinner from 5:00 to 5:40)

Thursday, October 17 (Virtual): 3:10 PM to 7:00 PM (Dinner from 5:00 to 5:40)

PK through 4th Grade: 15-minute conferences

5th Grade and Rosen: 10-minute conferences

SST and EL Teachers: 10-minute conferences

Specials (Remote day only): (Broadley, Hickey, Symons, Perryman, Greene, Ciss, Scott, LeBlanc, Mikulay)

*Very Important* Once they are setup have Odalise login to Skyward choose Staff and pull up a staff member with conferences example Frega. Expand and scroll down to conferences. Have her verify the times and dates and if they are in person or virtual. 

Field: Rostering for Spring student led conferences - Make sure the teams don't put ell teachers on their team rosters. Here is way. They usually have a separated el list of students to meet with for 10 miniates. They can't do 10 min el meetinging and 20 miniute studetn led conferences. 

To open conferences disable application uncheck allow view only.  Ensure that the "Allow View Only Access of Available Conferences Methods" option is also selected. If it's not checked, parents may have the ability to change their conference preferences from in-person to virtual.

To enable parents to view conferences without the ability to schedule them, please follow these steps:

Navigate to Family Access and access the Configuration section.

Within the Entity Configuration, expand the General settings and select Conferences. Click on Edit.

At the bottom of the Edit screen, you'll find an option labeled "Allow View Only Access of Selected Times." Be sure to check this box.

*****Ensure the removal of conferences from the previous season***. Failure to do so may result in parents logging in and encountering fall conferences instead of spring. This occurred at Wink during the Spring Conferences of 2024, prompting the need to utilize staff utilities for the mass deletion of fall conferences from 2023.

***Remember to schedule an email reminder to all parents on the morning of conferences, notifying them of the open conference slots.***

Per cabinet meeting Feb 6th 2024 Janine said they don't want to open conferences early and that Sandra will just help parents book time slots. 

Conferences are only available to the primary teacher. You cannot give access to substitutes or alternate teachers.

In this scenario I recommend running the Conferences Report and providing this to the sub. You can do this in Staff > Reports > Conferences Report. Here is the link to a SkyDoc on this report: 

Closing coferences send this email and verify with Shaton/Nino and Apirl. Also suggest the moring confernces close that they send a message to parents to let them know that conferencxes are closed and if they still need time slots email teachers directly.

Just a quick heads up about Family access to conferences in Skyward: Access will be available throughout the entire weekend. However, please be aware that access for families will close on Monday, February 12, at 8 am for Field and 12 pm for Winkelman. Conferences will stay closed for the rest of the week.
